Welcome to Rushbrooke Asian Cats, Burmese Cats, Tiffanie Cats & now Bengal cats, too!

Welcome to our home on the Net!  We are breeders of Asian Cats, Burmese Cats, Tiffanie (semi-long-haired Asian) cats and now Bengal cats!  We have carefully developed our breeding programme to include excellent blood lines, virtually all colour variations and healthy, bomb proof kitties!  Because we have four large dogs, in addition to our cats, our kittens are incredibly well socialised and very friendly with humans and other animals alike.  All of our cats are first and foremost house pets, so we do not keep our cats in outdoor cattery conditions.  This makes our cats and kittens extra sweet, loving and appreciative of attention.

Our kittens go to their new homes at around 13-weeks.  All kittens are fully vaccinated, insured and GCCF registered.  The best (and worst) moment is when the kittens leave for their new homes - I am thrilled that they are going to be part of a new, loving family, but I hate having to kiss them goodbye; each kitten takes a little piece of me with it.  So, as you can see, we are very devoted to our extended family and we love each and every kitten we breed.  We really enjoy hearing from the new owners who are usually kind enough to keep in touch, send us photos and let us know how their new baby is getting along.

If you are prepared to be owned by an Asian cat, Burmese cat, Tiffanie cat or Bengal cat, please take a look at the photographs on our site.  But, BE WARNED, these cats are addictive, time consuming and will take over your life!  Seriously, though, they are loving and entertaining and worth every moment you share with them.  These cats are simply wonderful and I feel humbled and fulfilled to be adored by so many of these magnificent felines (I think the fact that I feed them might have something to do with their adulation!)  If you do decide to 'take the plunge' and share your life with one of these marvellous cats, rest assured, you won't be disappointed.  In the next section, we have provided some basic information about the delightful and amazing Asian Group of cats.

About Our Cats

For those who are new to the beautiful, intelligent and loving Asian Group of cats, here is a brief description.  The term "Asian" describes a group of cats, which includes variants of Burmese type and basic conformation; the difference is, the sub-type variants do not have the standard Burmese coat colour nor the restriction of colour to the points area (the face, ears, paws, legs and tail) as exhibited by the usual Burmese cat.  The cats of the Asian Group actually bear the same relationship to Burmese as the Oriental types do to Siamese.  The Asian Group is comprised of a range of cats with very beautiful and unusual coat colour patterns and textures.  This group includes Asian Smoke, Asian Tabby, Bombay, Burmilla and Tiffanie.  The two things all varieties of Asian cats share is: 1) their charming, friendly, outgoing and gentle temperaments, and 2) their characteristically large, full and expressive eyes which are set well apart.  While the Asian Group's eyes are slightly Oriental in the way they are set, that is the only similarity, because they are neither Oriental nor round in shape.

Burmese cats absolutely adore people - they are very affectionate, devoted and really enjoy human contact; in fact, they are quite "dog-like" in nature and will loyally follow their owners everywhere!  There are two varieties of Burmese cats: Solid and Tortoiseshell.  The solid colour variations are: Blue, Chocolate (or Champagne), Cream, Lilac (or Platinum), Red, Sable (or Brown).  The tortoiseshell varieties are: Seal (brown) Tortie, Blue-Cream or Blue Tortie, Chocolate Tortie, Lilac-Cream or Lilac Tortie.
